It may be hard to believe, but your kids’ summer vacation is just weeks away.

But don’t worry. The Tribune-Herald is here to help you plan some activities for them.

CHURCH PROGRAMS AND CAMPS

Christian camps, Young Life Heart of Texas; 776-8834, 776-8835 (fax).

— Junior high camp, July 17-21, in Huntsville, Texas; $399, deadline June 15.

— Senior high camp, June 15-21, in Fraser, Colo.; $479, deadline May 15.

First United Methodist Church Kids’ Kastle, 4901 Cobbs Drive; 772-5636. Tuesdays and Thursdays in June and July; for 6-month-olds to rising second-graders; $96 for six Tuesdays or six Thursdays; $10 registration fee plus a supply fee. Register in April.

Camp Kaleidoscope day camp, First Baptist Church, 500 Webster Ave.; 756-6933. June 2-Aug. 21. For prekindergartners and kindergartners. $99 per week; registration is $25.

First Baptist Church of Woodway Vacation Bible School, 13000 Woodway Drive; 772-9696, www.fbcwoodway.org. June 9-13. For 4-year-olds (as of Sept. 1, 2007) through those who have finished sixth grade. Free. Register online beginning May 4, or on-site.

The Master’s Workshop Camp, owned by local United Church of Christ congregations; 722-1611. Partial- to full-week overnight camping at site near Robinson. A variety of camps in June and July for students who have finished first through 12th grade. $125 to $145.

St. John United Church of Christ Vacation Bible School, 100 S. Robinson Drive in Robinson; 662-0621. The week of June 2. Free.

First Baptist Church of Hewitt Summer Fun Parents’ Day Out, 301 S. First St. in Hewitt; 666-2741. Wednesdays, June 18-Aug. 13. Ages 6 weeks to rising third-graders. $108 tuition, $5 registration fee, $10 supply fee.

Fellowship Bible Church Vacation Bible School, 5200 Speegleville Road; 848-7200. June 9-13. Ages 4 years to rising sixth-graders.

Children’s music camp, Seventh and James Baptist Church, 602 James Ave.; 753-6425, www.seventhandjames.org. July 7-13. For those who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. $20 per child, household maximum of $30. Register after May 1.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco Summer Fun program; 752-6443 (administrative office). YMCA of Central Texas Summer Camps, at Waco Family YMCA, 6800 Harvey Drive (776-6612), and at Doris Miller Family YMCA, 1020 Elm St. (752-1605). From June 2 through late August. Ages 4-15. Cost varies based on program and location. Registration includes a nonrefundable $20 supply fee for all camps and a $10 weekly deposit at Waco Family Y.

Camp Fire USA Kids Care Summerville Explorers Day Camp, 321 North 30th St.; 752-5515, www.campfiretejas.org.  June 9 through Aug. 15. Ages 6 through 10. Cost is $120 per week; there is a $20 registration fee. Registration deadline is May 23.
