COUNTY REQUESTS BIDS Bid 17-014 McLennan County Highway 6 Jail Roof Repair Sealed bids will be received by the McLennan County Purchasing Department until 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 2, 2017. These bids will be opened in the County Purchasing Office, Waco, Texas. Proposals must be placed in a sealed envelope with your company name, address and plainly marked "Bid 17-014 McLennan County Highway 6 Jail Roof Repair" and delivered or mailed to the McLennan County Purchasing Department, 214 North 5th Street, Waco, Texas 76701. Specifications may be obtained from the McLennan County Purchasing Department, Phone (254) 757-5016. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. C.S.T at the McLennan County Jail. Anyone attending the tour of the facilities must submit to a background check - we must receive notification of your attendance at least 7 business days in advance so that background checks can be completed. Phone (254) 772-5400. Bidders should use lump-sum pricing for all items for which firm quantities are specified and unit pricing for all items for which estimated quantities are given. This project will require a Bid Bond, a Performance Bond, and Payment Bond. The McLennan County Commissioners Court reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any or all bids, waive minor technicalities, and grant the award to the bid which best serves the interest of McLennan County. Invoices must be addressed to McLennan County, 214 North 4th Street, Suite 100, Waco, Texas 76701-1366. Monthly statements are required for any account having an open balance at the end of the month. Payment will normally be within 30 days following the completion of delivery of all items purchased under an awarded proposal provided all necessary documentation for payment is received by the County Auditor in adequate time for processing. Bids may be withdrawn at any time prior to the official opening. Alterations made before opening time must be initialed by the Bidder to guarantee authenticity. After the official opening, bids may not be amended, altered, or withdrawn without the recommendation of the Purchasing Agent. All bids become the property of McLennan County and will not be returned to the Bidder. McLennan County is exempt from Federal excise and sales tax; therefore, tax must not be included in this bid.
