Kayla Denise Salinas and Christopher Lee Pecina were united in marriage at 4 o'clock on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at The Pavilion at the Carleen Bright Arboretum in Woodway, Texas with the Rev. Manuel R. Herrera Jr. officiating. A reception followed immediately after the ceremony at 1 Pavilion Way, in Woodway.
Kayla is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel C. Salinas of Waco. She graduated in 2008 from Midway High School. She attended Tarleton State University where she graduated in December 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Kayla is currently employed with the City of Hewitt Library.
Christopher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mendoza of Woodway. Chris also graduated from Midway High School in 2008. He went onto graduate from McLennan Community College with an Associate's degree in Nursing. He is currently employed as an RN at Baylor-Scott & White-Hillcrest Hospital.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents, and was escorted by her father. She wore a Morilee designer Crystal and Diamente dress. It had a heavily hand beaded, embroidered bodice, sprinkled with crystals on a stunning sweetheart neckline. Covered buttons ran down the back on the tulle bridal ball wedding dress. Matron of honor was Lindsey Ursua-Sandoval of San Antonio. Flower girls were Jazmine Salinas and Riley Mendoza of Waco.
Best men were both brothers of the groom, Robbie and Jarrett Mendoza of Woodway. Ring bearer was Daniel Rey Salinas of Waco. The music was provided by Sound Waves Mobile DJ Service of Waco. Decorations were by R.S.V.P. Events and Pendley Party Productions.
The couple will honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico and reside in Hewitt, Texas.
