Mackenzie Nichole Jenkins and Brady Scott Nesbitt were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. in the afternoon, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Barr Mansion in Austin, Texas. Mr. Gregg McPherson of the Woodlands officiated the ceremony. A reception immediately followed the ceremony at Barr Mansion. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by parents of the groom, Dwana and Bill Nesbitt at Parkside in Austin.
Mackenzie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen R. Jenkins of Grapevine, Texas and the granddaughter of Ms. Connie Wertin of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Ms. Ruth Jenkins of Dallas, Texas and the late Mr. Richard Jenkins. Mackenzie is a 2006 graduate of Grapevine High School, and a 2010 graduate of St. Edwards University in Austin. She is employed as a Sales Manager with Paycom.
Brady is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Nesbitt Jr. of Waco, Texas and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mosser of Lubbock, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jackson of Anson, Texas. Brady is a 2005 graduate of Midway High School and a 2009 graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He is a realtor with Reece Nichols Realtors.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. The bride wore an elegant and timeless strapless gown by Lusan Mandongus, with a sweetheart neckline fitted and flare trumpet style silhouette with lace overlays, and a dramatic chantilly lace train. She wore a custom made belt of crystals and pearls, and a long crystal beaded veil. The bride carried a bouquet of blush and cream garden roses with ranunculus and dusty miller and gold painted eucalyptus greens.
Maid of honor was the sister of the bride, Averie Jenkins of Austin. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Laura Lannom of Austin, Jenny Anderson of Dallas, Brooke Hluza of Austin, Michelle Kalush of Austin, and sister of the groom, Kristen Shepperd of College Station.
Best man was brother of the groom, Brett Nesbitt of Lubbock. Groomsmen were friends of the groom, Ryan Kennerly of Lubbock, Justin Walls of Austin, David Rader of Ft. Worth, Hunter Hightower of Austin, and brother of the bride, Logan Jenkins of Grapevine.
Terravista Strings provided music for the ceremony and for the reception was The Dry Water Band. Floral arrangements were by Sweet Magnolia Floral.
After a honeymoon to Peter Island, British Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Fairway, Kansas.
