Griffin: 'Nervous like everybody else' before Heisman show
By John Werner
The Heisman Trophy finalists spoke to the press for a few minutes at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square before the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin said he's anxious and excited, and has his speech prepared if he wins the Heisman.
"I'm nervous like everybody else," Griffin said. "I'll probably drop a tear, stumble a little bit and forget somebody." Griffin said he's had a great time since arriving in New York City on Friday afternoon.
"I saw Santa Claus, Elmo and Sponge Bob," Griffin said. "It's been a lot of fun being here."
The Baylor women's basketball team, which is playing St. John's on Sunday morning at Madison Square Garden, cheered Griffin as he walked inside the Best Buy Theater for the presentation show.
Congrats to Griffin and BU. Is he at the women's bball game today?
