All signs point to a big night for Robert Griffin
By John Werner
NEW YORK — Tonight could be one of the greatest in the history of Baylor athletics.
If quarterback Robert Griffin wins the Heisman Trophy, he'll become just the seventh player from a Texas college to win it.
If all the Internet sites are right, all signs point to Griffin winning it.
At Friday's press conference at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, Griffin was his usual self — funny, articulate and generally impressing media members who met him for the first time.
Last night, he and the other Heisman candidates got to see a few sights in the Times Square area. Griffin took photos in front of the big Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and posed with Santa Claus.
His parents, sister DeJon and fiancee Rebecca Liddicoat were there with him.
