Which restaurant serves the best desserts in Waco?
By WacoTrib.com staff
'Tis the season to be dieting, so we thought we'd be mean and offer up the following question:
Which restaurant serves the best desserts in Waco?
Pass the cake, and feel free to comment on previous IMO questions.
Kim's used to have great pies, but since the diabetes monster got hold of me I haven't embibed in dessert anywhere in years.
The Chocolate Sack at Diamond Backs is pretty tasty.
Best dessert is a "Big O" at George's!
Papa this, Papa that. Waco needs a Papa of any sorts. Yeah!
I can't believe that no one has said "The Olive Garden". All of their desserts are just simply delicious. I always go there whenever I want to eat a simply delicious meal and dessert. They always make me feel extra special. They are tops in my book. Nancy Turney
Outback ... but that's not saying a lot. Holy moly do we need a Pappasito's in this town or what!!
I totally agree with El Diablo, all of them serve "canned" deserts. I agree the Tex Mex places have the best deserts, I used to love the Fried Ice Cream at the place that closed on Hwy. 6, but will try it at the Ruthy's soon. I am also a sucker for Key Lime pie most anywhere, but it is bought not home made.
Coco's bird nest is pretty good. The sopapillas are also good.PARDON MY SPELLING!
The homemade baklava at D's Mediteranean Grill on 15th is totally awesome.
The very best desserts are at Carinos!!! The chocolate cake is to die for and the cheesecake just makes my mouth water!!! Hats off to you Carinos!
Ameilias - that is located in Sironia has AMAZING homemade desserts!! They are only open during lunch hours, though!
Cotton Patch and Cracker Barrel have awesome cobblers. The peach cobbler with vanilla icecream is the best.
Griffs in China Spring make many of their desserts and they are -- I dislike using this word -- scrumptious!! Also, Cheddars has a big ol' chocolate cake that is also -- scrumptious. <><
