Which restaurant serves the best Asian food in Waco?
By WacoTrib.com staff
It's been nearly a month since we've done a food question, so we're getting hungry for one. Here goes:
Which restaurant serves the best Asian food in Waco?
Let us know, and please comment on any previous IMO question that strikes your fancy.
Magic China is VERY good!!!!BeBe give Cathay House another chance. I personally find the owner, Lois, to be extremely pleasant. Our servers always give us one check, but Lois is very gracious about dividing it at the register...... she does this so often, she can practically do it in her sleep. If you give them another try and have a few extra minutes to wait for a table to open in the area by the bar.... you will have the one male server who works during lunch .... he is FANTASTIC!!!!!
Hands down, best Chinese food would be Summer Palace! Love the selections. Get to sample so many different foods! I haven't tried Pei Wei, is it better than Chinese food? I've also heard great reviews about Samurai Steakhouse, but I've never tried them either. I LOVE Mexican food, but sometimes I like to try other restaurants, but not sure where to go.
Samurai is a great place. We usually celebrate a birthday or two there with the family. Bangkok Royal is my favorite though.
The best Asian food in town is from the Clay Pot or Bangkok Royale. Hands down. When is an Indian restaurant going to come to Waco??
Anybody who knows me knows that my favorite eatery, period, in all of Waco is The Clay Pot. It's Vietnamese fusion (Pacific Rim) etc., with outstanding Pho and wonderful seafood dishes as well. And the hot tea selection is voluminous!
