Nothing Perry does surprises me. Just when people were starting to forget about Bush, Perry embarrassed Texas all over again.

I think they are wasting the taxpayers money. Obama 2012!!!!

I concur on Bill's comments of 1/19 at 428PM. Also, to answer the question, I was surprised at Perry's endorsement. I thought Santorum was a closer fit for him. Personally, Santorum is my first choice.

Reality is that by the time Texas votes, there may only be one canidate left. Texas votes way to late to matter. Would be nice to have a national primary day, but won't happen.

I think that Perry leaving the field didn't leave much in the way of choices. I'm sure he had a hard time deciding just like I am. I can't support Newt. He's too much for big government for my taste. Santorum is way too socially conservative. Romney "Mitt-flops" so much that who knows what he stands for and Ron Paul's foreign policy scares me half to death! I'll focus on getting a conservative voice in the Senate. It's looking like Romney will be the nominee and the R's will need to control the House and Senate to pull him toward the conservative side.
