January has proven a great month for many Waco movie fans with a good number of films on critics' Top 10 2017 Films lists arriving in town.

More come this week with Guillermo del Toro's "The Shape Of Water" opening at the AMC Classic Galaxy 16 and the Waco Hippodrome, and Luca Guadanigno's "Call Me By Your Name" coming to AMC Classic Galaxy 16.

Still in Waco are "Lady Bird," at the Regal Jewel 16 and the Hippodrome; "Three Billboards Near Ebbing, Missouri," also at the Jewel 16; and "Darkest Hour," at both Regal Jewel 16 and Classic Galaxy 16.

"Coco," an odds-on favorite for Best Animated Film, remains at Regal Jewel 16 this week, and both multiplexes have the star-studded "The Post," which might pull some nominations.

It's often feast or famine when it comes to films playing Waco. This week, there's plenty on the movie table.
