The word came out today that the DIY Network has picked up Clint and Kelly Harp's proposed television series "Wood Work" and will air it beginning in early 2018.
Clint, a furniture builder, and his wife Kelly, a home designer, own Harp Design Co. in Waco and are best known for their appearances on HGTV's enormously popular "Fixer Upper," where Clint often builds custom furniture for the show's designer Joanna Gaines.
Their former house, which they now run as a vacation rental, was one of those featured in "Fixer Upper's" debut season and the growing success of their Harp Design Company is one of the several spinoffs of the HGTV series.
As reported when the pilot aired this spring, "Wood Work" will feature the two in various Harp Design projects, Clint and his team facing building project challenges and Kelly in the company's design work.
Filming begins in August with the first episodes airing in early 2018.
