Texas country singer-songwriter Cody Jinks will perform at this year’s Margarita & Salsa Festival Aug. 26 at the Extraco Events Center.

August begins today and that's good news for certain early-bird music fans — specifically, fans of opera and fans of certain Texas country bands.

Tickets for the Waco Symphony Orchestra's Nov. 7 concert with American opera star Renee Fleming went on sale today —season ticket holders got first shot earlier this summer — and so did tickets for this year's Margarita & Salsa Festival on Aug. 26 at the Extraco Events Center.

This year's festival artists are Texas singer-songwriters Cody Jinks, Jon Wolfe and Randy Rogers and his band.

Tickets for the WSO/Fleming concert at Waco Hall — only one of three orchestral appearances the world-renowned soprano will make in Texas this year — are $150 to $100 for floor seats and $85 and $50 for balcony ones and available here or by calling the Waco Symphony Association box office at 754-0851.

Margarita & Salsa Festival tickets are $31 in advance, $35 day of show, $150 for VIP, and available here.
