Picture pages, picture pages …

Wow, guess I showed my age with that title.

Anyway, I’m going to start doing this little thing with my blog that I hope you’ll enjoy and take part in. If you don’t enjoy it, I’ll gladly listen to you tell me how bad it sucks and argue with each other about its suckage/merit while also picking on each other’s type-os. Sound like fun? Great.

Web guru Win and I have been taking photos around town and we want to see if it’s possible to stump you with them. Once we have a good stockpile of photos I’m going to try to post one a week.

I’m tired today and my head is swimming from the education stuff I’m working on and I didn’t get to work out this morning and I didn’t even get a darn free burrito. But I decided it would make me happy to get this little project going. So here goes. Peruse this photo and identify it while I go home, watch The Wire and pass out.

Old bank building at 9th and Washington (northmost corner). I think it was a Sun? Savings and Loan or something.

As I recall, it was Pioneer Savings and Loan.

I’m still stuck on the free burrito! Did you get one without having to wait in line for two hours?

I thought it was at the old S&L at 17th and Waco Dr, across Waco Dr from the old nursing home.

Clock picture? Why it’s time for the Waco Tribune to give more free advertisement for the City of Waco and the Greater Waco Chamber of Downtown Waco scams. Our very own Waco Tribune is “bought and paid for” by the crooks at Waco City Hall. Let’s just call it……a prostitution of news. Right Miss Wendy?

I remember taking a “fred” yesterday morning, a morning constitutional if you will, around 9:43, henceforth known as a “fred” (the time on the clock in the picture). I felt dirty afterwards. Sadly, that’s the result of a steady diet of libelous hate. Yah, delete this post if you feel the need, I just hate monkey fredders with their anonymous a**hole posts. Fred “go fred yourself”.

Wendy, I am so sorry to you that I used your blog to vent.

p.s. Dale, Pioneer has been gone a long time so no, I don’t know where Wendy or Win took that picture.

p.s.s. Gypsy, cut fred off, he’s become delusional.

And now Mark is the newest member of the Freds-in-your-Head Club. Life is really “all about Fred” isn’t it? Any attention is……Fred’s attention? I simply love the…..”Fred go Fred yourself”. Or better still…..”taking a moring Fred”. And remember Mark that anytime is Fred’s time. Thanks Mark for NOT cutting Fred off. When Fred can make you “vent” then Fred can change the world.

Pioneer S&L on 9th & Washington hasn’t been gone that long. It was around until sometime in the 90’s. They financed my first house in ‘84. I still think the clock is located at what used to be Pioneer S&L on Washington. The one on 17th & Waco Drive was Waco S&L at one time. The name of these places that one recalls depends on what point in time they were not being merged or bought out by another bank. What may seem a long time to some is only a blip on the radar of time for me.

If your idea of changing the world is spreading hate, you may be right, you got under my skin. It might happen again, I usually ignore losers, you were just such an a* I had to state my majority opinion. Just a question, what are you going to do when downtown Waco grows and prospers? Oh, and the difference between a Fred and a fred is a capital “F”. heehee, loser…

Dale, you’re probably right, I always used the one at Wooded Acres.
