The 4th in Waco!
Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. My fondest childhood memories are from my “Nonnie’s” lake house around the 4th, fishing off the dock, telling scary stories and of course, shooting off fireworks. The best was when a fire cracker chased my uncle all the way down the dock and up his shirt. Never seen a grown man scream so loud or run so fast!!!
Fireworks, food, family and music are the perfect combination to making the 4th a great day to remember. The best place in Waco to combine all these things is the Fourth on the Brazos celebration at Indian Spring Park.
The Park opens at 5pm, music starts at 6pm and the fireworks kick off around 10pm. There will be bounce houses (which you know are my favorite!), food, kid’s arts and crafts and several bands. Buses will be set up to shuttle folks down there and blankets, coolers and pets are welcome!
If you haven’t been to this event I highly recommend it. Every time I’ve gone, I’ve had a blast. Go check it out and let me know what you think.
Also, let’s not forget the reason for this celebration our freedom, which our troops are still defending to this day. Please, take a moment to say a prayer for those who are there or have family overseas. God BLESS our freedom!!!
