Youth Bowler Going to SFA

As I was driving to go bowl one evening this week, I heard someone honk their horn. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw a head sticking out of a window pointing me to pull over. I recognized Andy Rosenkranz and pulled over. He handed me a newspaper, from a stack, called “The Enterprise”, serving the Bosqueville and China Spring area. The proud father opened up to a page showing a picture of him, daughter Ashli, and proud mother Shelli. The picture showed Ashli Rosenkranz signing a letter of intent to Stephen F. Austin University on a bowling scholarship. The 2009-2010 season will be the first year of the SFA bowling program. As a founding member of the SFA bowling program, we wish her all the best as a “Lumberjack” and congratulations.

Ashli, I am so happy for you, and proud that you always represent Waco in such a fantastic manner. I know your mom and dad are very proud of you. It is such an honor to be given a scholarship for the very first year of bowling at SFA. You have always been such a delight at the tournaments, and I know we will be keeping up with your bowling through your mom and dad.

Ashli, I am so proud of you and of your success. It makes me proud to be a friend of your family. I hope to see you on TV before long on the college world series of bowling. I know that you will represent Waco and China Spring well. Keep up the good bowling and grades.

If I though this was wrong I would have not said a word about nothing. Im not trying to get nothing out of this but the truth. I think waco bowlers should know. Some one came to me about this. Last night one of my employees came by last night and told me some dates that help me to decide to say anything.

Congrats Ash on your next step in the bowling world. Remember, student comes before athlete, so keep the grades up and the scores high. I am so proud of you, child. I’ll be keeping an eye out for you on ESPN. Love you and best wishes. P.S.: I need a Lumberjack t-shirt ( just a christmas idea hahaha )
