Spares & Strikes
Steven King and David Light are rolling right up your alley with their blog on Waco's bowling scene.
David (high game 300 — perfect!) has been bowling since 1960 and Steven (high game 289 — almost perfect!) is a relative newcomer to the sport, taking it up in 2000. The two Waco natives are members of the Greater Waco United States Bowling Congress.

Just wanted to say good job on what you guys are doing and I hope bowling gets a little more popular here in Waco. I know im not the best bowler here in Waco but Id like to say in the Doris Miller league is probably the best league I have been in. Not serious and they all dont mind if we have a great time.. Plus plenty of competition you got Jose Randy Mike A and many more.. And one more thing I see Kay Mcmurtray was on here and I wanted to say HIIIIIII!

Hi Bry, Bry! Miss seeing ya! And, by the way, you are an excellent bowler! I would love for Charlie to be on a league like the one you was talking about. He needs so much to get back involved. I can tell he really misses bowling.

If you are having trouble with the entry forms on the website, your computer may be on a network, and you may need administrator permission to download files. In my excitment about having the entry forms online, I failed to also mention that tournament entry forms are available at our two bowling centers in Waco.

Hey ya’ll! I just printed my team’s city entry form online - which is no small feat considering my computer experience. For OUR tournaments to be successful, i would like to invite any and all who can to contact any of our GWUSBCA board members and VOLUNTEER your services in helping make this the best two city tournaments in Texas. I’m sure that there will be many things to do that would help make our tourneys run smoothly (ie: lane monitors, score runners, etc.) and that any help would be greatly appreciated by the men and women who are working very hard to get these tourneys off the ground. There will be many squads to fill, so come show your support of bowling in Waco and volunteer. It’ll be fun and I hope to see everyone there!

Well it appears that you guys are hanging in there. I am considering joining a sunday, monday, or tuesday night league, as for I work the rest of the nights. Any suggestions? I would rather do womens majors, but that is not an option with my schedule at this point, so if there is a competitive league one of those nights please let me know. Also Kay…. if you see this post please email me… msharp@woodwaymail.org!! I miss you and charlie!
