Spares & Strikes
Steven King and David Light are rolling right up your alley with their blog on Waco's bowling scene.
David (high game 300 — perfect!) has been bowling since 1960 and Steven (high game 289 — almost perfect!) is a relative newcomer to the sport, taking it up in 2000. The two Waco natives are members of the Greater Waco United States Bowling Congress.

Storm’s most recent ball release the “Dimension”. This ball is making alot of noise amungst the online bowling community not to mention several of the pro’s. Had to get one for myself and I must say I am not disapointed. Man, what a versatile ball. Hit’s like a truck.

LETS HEAR IT FOR TERRY WILLIAMS. LAST NIGHT HE SHOT HIS FIRST 800 SERIES IN THE MEN’S MAJOR LEAGUE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. NOT BAD FOR A LEFTY. ESPECIALLY ON A CONDITION THAT HASN’T BEEN PUT ON THE LANES THE SEASON. THE MGMT IS TRYING TO WORK ON A CONSISTANT SHOT, BUT TRYING TO PLEASE EVERYONE IS A LOST CAUSE. WHAT WOULD BE NICE IS SOMETHING THAT IS CONSISTANT FROM NIGHT TO NIGHT.

How about some comments on Ed Smith. Ed was one of the best bowlers this town had when I moved here in “89”. A few years later his health problems were deteriating his game. As far as I know he never complained that he couldn’t do what came easy for him. Just roll the bowl up the outside area and strike majority of the time. That’s how I will always remember him.
Ed would talked or help anyone who needed it, even if he didn’t know who you were. He was that kind of person.

Buzzard, by the sound, you knew Ed well. He was a super person and bowler! Slow, smooth and KA-BAM, STRIKE! And, I will never know how he could drink that bowling center coffee! Some times it could knock your socks off! I always enjoyed watching Ed bowl. Our condolences to the family. It’s such a sad time in our lives to see people like Ed move on to that better place. I know that Larry, Harold and Doc were next in line to greet him!
