Approaching sellouts at Waco Hall - “Nutcracker” and David Phelps

Two upcoming holiday events at Waco Hall are closing in on sellouts. This Sunday’s “The Nutcracker” with the St. Petersburg Ballet and the Waco Symphony Orchestra is down to side seats on the main floor and second balcony seats upstairs. Judging from ticket sales at past “Nutcrackers,” symphony officials anticipate a sellout by curtain time at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Call 754-0851 for ticket availability if you need to.

Christian singer David Phelps, a former Gaither Family vocalist, returns to Waco (where he attended Baylor) to present his Christmas show at 7 p.m. Dec. 16. That show’s more than two weeks away and only about 60 main floor tickets are left. There are more open spaces in the balcony where slightly more than 500 seats are available (OK, it’s not quite a sellout yet, but headed that way … ). Tickets online are available at www.itickets.com and Mardel’s Christian and Educational Supply store has about 30 floor tickets left.

Good Morning: I am a Canadian fan of David Phelps. I attended the O Holy Night presentation at Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday past. If you are new to David’s Singing, nothing will prepare you for what you will hear. His voice is fantastic. The songs he chose that are not particularly Christmas were just fantastic. A couple of songs from his new CD “The Voice” will thrill you. It’s a concert not to be missed. David Phelps is dowm to earth. His stage presence and personality are fantastic. Give yourself the best Christmas Gift ever, Attend the Concert. It’s an event you will not forget. Keep singing, David. We love you.

WOW! No excuses - you have to attend the David Phelps concert :) You won’t regret it. Sure -he’s the best singer in the world, but you’ll get so much more out of the concert than hearing Christmas music. David and crew spread God’s love and message in so many ways. You’ll be a Phelps Phan in no time :)

If you have not heard David sing in person you are missing out on the best voice there is. It is so worth going to one of his concerts you will leave with your jaw dropped in amazement.

Prepare to have your mind blown… From the first concert I attended to the last, I was in awe from the starting note to all the way to the thunderous finally. Not only from the powerfully flawless vocals of DP but the crew that accompanies him…second to none! Jayson

It is impossible for us to make this Texas Tour this year…Maybe next!!

Not only does David have a most incredible God gifted voice, but he is an amazing musician, composer, arranger, and entertainer. The message of God’s love, grace, & mercy delivered through David’s music always lifts my spirits. The musicians & vocalists that accompany David are truly the best!! I have seen David in concert several times! WHAT A BLESSING!!

David Phelps is one of my favorite performers of all time. Those of you attending this great show will surely not be disappointed. Tell one and all to come out for a great show.

David has come to our area a bit farther norh of Texas for a few performances. I’ve traveled to Alabama for a taping of a DVD. I’ve been one of the first to get tickets and so the anticipation is usually long before getting to the show. The show is always great.

Have a good time and enjoy this Christmas season. Merry Christmas to you all as you get to open one of your presents early!

David Phelps is the only performer on the planet who I would follow all over the country to see. His voice never ceases to amaze me, and I always feel like I am in the presence of one of God’s special angels when he is singing. I think David is the best tenor in America hands down, maybe rivaled only by Andrea Bocelli. But I just can’t get enough of David—I just feel closer to God when I listen to DP but his powerhouse voice has got to be heard LIVE to be believed and truly appreciated!!!

A MUST SEE for everyone.

Having read all the above comments there’s little I can add—- David Phelps is—- ALL THAT AND MORE!!! He is the only artist that I make every effort to see anywhere here in Texas and have traveled on several occasions out of state to see and hear! His concerts are more than the music- an evening to experience the real “Reason For The Season”!!!

David Phelps has an amazing voice. I have appreciated this since he sang with the Gaither Vocal Band. Since going solo he has continued to amaze me. He is the Christian version of Josh Groban (but that barely does him sufficient justice). His vocal range is unbelieveable. His pitch perfect voice makes the hairs stand on the back of my neck (in a good way). Go to the concert…he is great on CDs but must be experienced LIVE. If it wasn’t for the fact of a huge pond called the Atlantic I would be there!! I have videos of the Bangor, Northern Ireland concert uploaded here www.bebo.com/EstherC31 Please excuse the shakey footage at times.

Down to only 8 floor tickets left and balcony. Balcony seats are still good. Waco Hall is a great please for a concert. All seats are great and the open seating makes it nice if you don’t get there at the last minute.

David and the Jolley Crew will show you how to put Christ back in Christmas. DP is an example of how GOD blesses us all with special gifts that we are meant to share with others. If ever there was a man who walked the talk, it is DAVID PHELPS. OK, don’t believe me? Go see for yourself.

I agree with Lee! All I want for Christmas is a David Phelps concert… A lot of people (Phantastic Phelps Phans!) have said a lot of things here, but there truly are no words to express the blessings you will receive. You have to experience it to believe it. Like Jackee said, Go and see (and hear) for yourself. Merry Christmas!

Mr. David is the best singer in the world, and he’s the coolest. You should go to his concert. He’s very special to me, he came on Extreme Makeover and Montel for me and my family. We also went to his farm for the taping of his Christmas DVD. It was my dream come true. I love Mr. David.

If you want to be truly blessed, you must see and hear David. There is no way you will come away from one of his concerts without being filled to the brim with the love of Jesus. Did I mention I love David?…lol… Go and be blessed! Jayne

I hope all of you are prepared for a blessing. David and his band are always fired up and give the audience their all. It will be an experience you will never forget. The only thing I could say when I left my first David Phelps concert was… “My cup runneth over”.

There are no earthly words sufficient to describe the God-given voice of David Phelps. He has (in my humble opinion) the most amazing voice on the planet. If it is at all possible, don’t miss the opportunity to see David in concert; I guarantee you will not leave disappointed. You not only won’t be disappointed, but you will leave with a sense of awe and will be on Cloud Nine for days to come. And as an added bonus, you will be blessed to be in the presence of this most gracious, down-to-earth servant of God.

My husband and I attended our first David Phelps Christmas concert in 2003 and we’ve been to at least one each season since. This year will be no different. And each year we get more and more excited. After you hear David sing live, you’ll understand why we’re so devoted to our “holiday tradition.” What a voice!!

Im my humble opinion, there IS NO OTHER HUMAN BEING that can “sing” Christmas like David Phelps!! Not only does he have the BEST VOICE ON THE PLANET, truly a gift from God, but he walks and talks what he sings about. You have not truly lived until you have heard this man sing live!! His passion shows thru in every word he sings. His music has inspired me in ways I never thought possible. Go and see for yourself,,you won’t be sorry. I promise!!

David is just the most amazing, talented, singer, songwriter, Christian performer I have ever heard in my life. A Christmas concert with David sets the stage for the whole season. I have been fortunate to have been able to attend at least two concerts every Christmas for five years, and have traveled many miles to do so. God has gifted David with so much talent, but David’s use of his talent is accomplished by hard work and devotion to his Lord, and phans. His concerts are such a blessing.Don’t miss it!
