Win A Personal Phone Call from OLTL’s David Chisum

Are you a fan of that formerly despicable turned boyishly charming Miles Laurence?

His portrayer - the wonderfully, personable David Chisum - is offering a chance for one lucky fan to receive a phone call from him.

Before the writers’ strike hit, One Life To Live’s head writer Ron Carlivati was heading towards a revelation that Mile’s has a secret. But the storyline was lost in the strike.

In an effort to promote that storyline, Chisum’s fan club is offering a write-in contest to guess Miles’ secret.

Entries must be posted from May 1 to May 31 and you can enter as many times as you want. The winner will be chosen by drawing and will also receive a year’s subscription to his fan club in addition to the phone call.

The entry must include these things: Name: Address: Area code and Phone Number: I think Miles’ secret is:

The envelope should be addressed to David as such: David Chisum c/o ABC TV studios 56 W 66th Street New York, NY 10023 Attention: Mile’s Secret

I must say, when Miles first came onto the Llanview scene he was kinda creeeeeepy.

Remember…he was institutionalized for his entire life because of his horrible facial deformity until the evil Dr. Spencer Truman performed a remarkable operation, leaving him incredibly attractive.

The fact that he is Mitch Laurence’s brother, means he is tied to two of the most hated characters in OLTL history - Spencer and Mitch.

And then he slept with that hooker in order to have his first sexual experience at 40-something.

Also creepy.

Then there was that whole blackmailing Marty into marriage thing. Miles took a huge character hit.

He turned into scary Miles.

But he has since redeemed himself.

Particularly in his friendships with Roxy (Ilene Kristen) and Natalie. He has proved that he is a true friend to both.

I particularly love his friendship with Natalie (Melissa Archer).

Natalie really needs a guy friend and Miles has always been there for her.

Getting back to Chisum….He’s nice.

Soooooo nice.

And handsome.

Reeeeally handsome.

I know this because I was walking by the OLTL studio last summer, while on vacation in New York City, and there he was standing outside the studio, taking a break outside on a beautiful June day.

He very kindly posed for a photo with me and chatted for a bit. He was very engaging, personable and really, really nice.

So what are you waiting for?
