GH’s Lulu is beyond selfish
Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that I actually used to like the character of Lulu Spencer on General Hospital.
When Julie Marie Berman first came on as the SORASed (and suddenly blonde) daughter of Luke and Laura, I was immediately impressed by her acting skills and the way she seemed to fit right in with the rest of the cast.
But something definitely went wrong along the way.
I think the turning point for me was when she had every guy (within a certain age range) enamored with her. It was funny at first watching the three stooges — Milo, Spinelli and Dillon — vying for her affection. But then Logan and Johnny fell under her spell, too, and it just became too much.
Recently, she was thrust into Kate’s fashion world, a world she doesn’t care about, understand or respect. Why? Because she’s Lulu, I guess. I am so rooting for Maxie to get the upper hand.
But the final straw for me? Lulu’s utter selfishness and insensitivity in the wake of Michael’s shooting.
Did you hear what she said to Carly? Instead of trying to console her cousin and do what she could to help ease the grief, Lulu had the audacity to bring up Johnny. And while they were standing outside of Michael’s hospital room, no less.
Wow.
She’s more concerned with protecting her latest boy toy than being a comfort during Carly’s greatest time of need.
Wow again.
Oh, but it gets even better. Lulu then pulls the same garbage on Sonny.
She’s definitely got some nerve.
I’m now expecting her to reach for the trifecta by pleading Johnny’s case to Jason.
However, there were three extremely bright spots to Lulu’s immature and self-centered actions.
First, Carly’s reaction. Her face says it all, don’t you think?
Second, Kate’s tirade. I don’t think I’ve ever loved Kate as much as I did when she let loose on Lulu.
And, finally, Luke actually … gasp! … stepped up as a father and called Lulu’s actions “stupid.”
Amen to that, Luke. Amen to that.

I actually wanted to smack Lulu when she pleaded Johnny’s case at that moment. Carly saw right thru that, as did Sonny & if she dares talk to Jason you know he’ll TELL Lulu off. the funniest part? She actually thinks her opinion made a difference.
ITA all those guys chasing her got to be too much after awhile, & the whole thing with Logan was crazy.
I’m sure Maxie will win this round and she deserves to win a round legitimately :-) I’d like to see Logan seriously hook up with Maxie, they were cute together & maybe a Spinnelli triangle? LuLu would LOVE that lol
