Kudos to AMC for Frankie focus
Calling all Hubbard lovers!
I read some great news the other day.
You know that fabulous actor they cast as Frankie, the son of the super-fabulous, recently reunited Jesse and Angie? Well, All My Children has placed him on contract.
Let the dancing commence.
I knew the higher echelons of soaps still had some intelligence floating around.
I am sooooo excited that I’ll be seeing Cornelius Smith Jr. on my screen more.
I thought he was great as Quentin, long before we knew he had significant ties to Pine Valley. When it was revealed that he was actually Frankie, he fit in wonderfully with Darnell Williams (Jesse) and Debbi Morgan (Angie), which is quite a compliment considering the caliber of those actors and their supercouple status as characters.
I hope the writers do Frankie — and Cornelius — justice.
So far, they seem to be going in the right direction.
I love that Colby (Ambyr Childers) has developed a crush on him. What a great pairing that could be, especially with the history between Colby’s mom, Liza, and Jesse.
Talk about a powder keg!
If AMC plays their cards right with Frankie, the show could start laying a promising foundation for future generations in Pine Valley.

I was also very happy to hear Cornelius was on contract! He truly fits in with the Hubbard family & it feels like he’s been a part of the show all along.
Personally tho, I need them to wait a few more years before even considering hooking up Frankie/Colby, she’s too young right now & it seems borderline jailbait … altho I can “almost” see her obsessing over Frankie the way her mother Liza used to obsess over Greg Nelson! How crazy would that be!
But another thing is I really NEED Liza back in PV to stir up trouble for this duo if they ever hook up - or even if they don’t. How great would it be if Liza had something to do with Jesse’s “death” somehow? & Liza interacting w/Jesse & Angie again is must see TV!
If Marcy Walker really won’t return (crossing fingers she does tho!), I’d love to see Jensen Buchanan (ex Sarah OLTL; ex Vicky/Marly AW) give it a shot, I think she’d fit in perfectly, she has the look & is an excellent actress!
and ITA I’m really hoping & praying they not only do Frankie justice, but also Jesse & Angie too! This storyline has already given Tad Martin new life, I was beginning not to even care about him anymore til Jesse/Angie returned.
So far so good AMC! don’t muck it up!

I hope they DON’T hook up Frankie and Colby romantically. Frankie is around 25 and didn’t Colby have her sweet 16 party a year or so ago? Ick factor like Lily & Jon.

I don’t want Frankie and Colby to get together although I like both characters. I really want AMC to be bold enough to cast and awesome African American actress as Frankie’s love interest. We’ve seen him with Mia, Simone. Let’s give an AA character a try!

Here, here on the casting of a black actress. I applaud AMC for bringing some color back to the show. Let’s keep it coming: Put Derrick in some story lines that don’t require him to be an idiot; bring back Danielle; give Olivi ANYTHING to do because you know she’d kill it, she’s so wonderful; hell, even bring in Angie’s other daughter. Once we’ve rounded out the black cast, add on some Latinos and Asians. Hell, let’s throw some Middle Easterners into the pot. We live in a mulit-ethnic world. Let’s have our soaps appeal to a wider audience.

I hope that Frankie and Colby get together as a couple. I don’t care what anyone says. Their age difference is not that BIG!!!! I kinda think that Frankie secretly does like Colby Back!!!!!
