Backed up at Precinct 58

Shortly after 9 a.m. at Precinct 58 at the Lacy-Lakeview Civic Center, more than eight people were in line to use the eight machines available, staffer Terri Jo Ryan reports.

Democrats appeared to outnumber Republicans at least 3-to-1.

The poll workers accepted the thanks of one voter for staffing what was sure to be a long day at the polls. The said they anticipated a 14-hour day, but thus far it had been smooth.

Poll workers had to correct a few confused souls who showed up in the morning for the precinct caucuses. One elderly woman who had voted early (and shown up today at the wrong precinct) said she had been told “by the man on the phone” that she had to vote again today “for it to count.” Another person in line explained the caucusing process to her.

His full name is John Sidney McCain III. And no, I don’t care.

My middle name is Troy, if that matters to you.

Barack’s middle name is Muhammad. Now, what sort of name is this? It ain’t American that’s for sure. Maybe that’s why he and his wife have a hard time honoring our great country. “first time in my adult life I am proud to be an American” is what she said. Is this a true American. If she said this to the media, what does she say behind closed doors? In my opinion, the press is pushing him through in order for the Islamic community to lighten up on our great country. Hoping if he gets in, they may reconsider to some degree their hatred toward us.

Barack’s middle name is Hussein, but i think O’bama is Irish:)I like that he doesn’t make a big deal about being black, and reasonable people don’t notice his color. His best leadership quality is that he tells Americans what THEY need to do, rather than just what HE will do. It worked well for JFK. Good leadership skills and speaking ability - but he’s going to need a lot more than that. The Republicans have been patiently waiting to take him apart if he gets the nomination and he has had a free pass so far. We are still a long way from November. Obama still has to beat a level-headed centrist, a real American hero, and the only candidate with military experience during war time. A complete change of course could be devastating for Iraqis and for our troops. P.S. Mr. O’bama, you can’t pacify or negotiate with brutal terrorists, you kill them.

This is why our country is doomed. First of all, Obama’s middle name is not Muhammad and second of all there are lots of Americans named Muhammad and third, who gives a flying rat what his middle name is? The plum blatant ignorance of our populace is a much bigger threat to our country’s security than the middle name someone decided to give their baby nearly 50 years ago.

Yes, this is why our country is doomed. These are the same kind of morons who vote for a liar & a hypocrite- Hilary Clinton. I’m appalled by the election results. Texas is full of morons, and I’m ashamed to live here.

A liar and a hypocrite? The candidate of Hope and Change and Integrity who brought in out-of-state activists to take over and chair the caucuses and stack the sign-in sheets that the count is taken from to decide who won the caucus? The candidate whose abuse of the rules necessitated an emergency order from the Texas Democratic Party to block these actions on the ground? Is that the liar and hypocriate you are talking about? The candidate who “will say and do anything to win”?
