Sibley attacks Anderson for Perry-hosted fund-raiser
In his bid to take Charles “Doc” Anderson’s seat in the Texas House of Representatives, Jonathan Sibley has found a new bull’s eye to target: Gov. Rick Perry.
In a news release issued late Friday, Sibley attacked Anderson for having Perry host a fund-raiser for him this coming Wednesday in Austin.
The release alleges that Anderson’s support from Perry explains why he is afraid to answer a series of “integrity” questions that “cover issues important to McLennan County, including the Trans Texas Corridor.”
In the release, Sibley said he opposes the Trans Texas Corridor and the selling or leasing of state roads to foreign interests. He also accuses Anderson of refusing to “take a stand on the issue.”
However, during the 2007 legislative session Anderson voted for a two-year moratorium on certain public-private partnership road projects such as the Trans Texas Corridor. He has said he wants to see the future of the project settled by voters in a statewide referendum.
Sibley has said Perry should step aside to let another Republican run for governor in 2010.
The release reads: “Apparently, Doc is content with Governor Rick Perry and his abusive Trans Texas Corridor.”
It also refers to the vetoes Perry issued last year on funding for health insurance for community college employees and eminent domain reform.
“I call on Doc Anderson to answer the question whether he supports a NEW Republican running for governor in 2010,” Sibley said in the release. “I also hope the Governor’s endorsement does for Doc what it did for Rudy Giuliani in Florida.”

Sibley is a spoiled, silver spoon brat. Why doesn’t he pay attention to the things Doc has really done since being elected instead of running his mouth and showing how unintelligent he really is? I know one thing; we don’t need another lawyer in the house!

“Mini-Me” Sibley is really clutching at straws with this attack. Whatever happened to Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment “Thou shall not attack a fellow Republican”? Mini-Me gets a twofer violation with this ludicrous press release.
I am more interested in getting answers about how Mini-Me plans to deal with the blatant conflict of interest in his daddy being one of Austin’s biggest lobbyists. There is no way he can avoid undo influence in that relationship! Who is really the puppet master here?

Americans and our short memory. The fact is that Hilary has worked to help people for 35 yrs in respect to the Federal goverment. From working to impeach Nixon in the 70’s to health care now. Obama on the other hand has done most of his civil work in community service which is probably not going to help much. Remember Jimmy Carter as great a speaker and leader of change he was they squashed him in Washington and this is an example of what I am trying to convey.
He came in after Nixon which a few of us remember as crooks who he even had a hand in the Kent State murders and suprise now we have a unknown / untested candidate again in Obama. As I remember it didn’t go good for Carter as it probably won’t for Obama as I see alot of talk but nothing else (Jimmy’s was Trust Me and Obama is Change) Bull. Now we have another crook in the white house named George Bush / Dick Chenny / the whole staff. It seems the republican party including alot of news networks are pushing Obama down our throats. He speaks good, has virtualy no qualifications, and dosen’t have a clue what he is in for. So get ready for nothing for the next 4 yrs if Obama wins so Jeb Bush can come to save the day in 2012 with more crooks and maybe give missles and train another bunch of terrorist.
I just wish the crooks (republican party) to tell us all who to invest in so we all can get rich. I mean they got the News Channels, Religous right, the NRA, the Military, Saudi’s/Oil/Auto/Construction companies (Halibuton, etc.), Corp America and oh yeah FOX. It would seem that one of these would tell us how to get in their click.

Tom, can you tell me exactly what Doc has done for this district? Maybe he’s done a lot for Rick Perry, but he hasn’t done much of anything for McLennan County.

House district 56 republican voters are sick of Jonathan Sibley’s negative campaigning. He continues to attempt to pull Doc down instead of trying to pull himself up—— and that’s where he is…. way down. Sibley’s negative tactics are simply not working. I predict at least a two to one victory for Doc. I would urge all voters to compare the great endorsements Doc has received to those of Sibley. Thanks Doc for the great conservative leadership you provide and for all you do for our district and for our city.
