Simon socks it to ya’

Simon definitely had to pick his moments last night, because on the whole the performances were good. But he still spun some excellent lines.
“The singer of that song had charisma and you didn’t.”
“It was like you were drunk at a party.”
And my favorite:
“I thought the song was horrible because it was too schmaltzy.” That one made me laugh out loud. And it made me think of a local sandwich shop, which I frequently patronize and enjoy. So in my mind, something be “schmaltzy” means it’s like a good, warm ham and swiss….
