It’s time for a new season of ‘American Idol’! Can you believe it’s been a year since we got our first glimpses of Jordin, Blake and Melinda?
After being a frequent commenter to this blog last season, I will be leading the discussion this year. Wendy Gragg has moved on to bigger and better things, namely “doing Waco” on her new blog. I myself also have another blog on the Trib’s site where I discuss my trials and joys as a single father.
I hope that we will really become a discussing group this year. Everyone always has an opinion about Idol, and we don’t have to agree in order to enjoy the show and the discussion. So, jump right in and tell us what you think whenever you like.
Also this year, I have some special features planned for the blog. I’ll be keeping a list of Simon’s one-liners. These will put up on the blog in posts categorized “Simon smack.”
We’ll try to take a poll every week about an Idol-related issue. I’ll try to make sure the results of the polls are publicized at the end of the poll so you won’t miss them when a new poll goes up.
Also, I’m going to try to keep track of the Idol-related news all week, so you’ll want to check in every weekday to see what’s new. This will be an active blog.
So, welcome to a new season. This is American Idol!
