State track: Holland boys vaulter wins 1A title
Blair Severson of Holland took gold at the UIL State Track and Field Championships in Austin in Class 1A in the pole vault, clearing 14 feet, 3 inches.
That was 3 inches better than Hewitt Holmes of Iraan.
Meridian’s Dalton Strickland tied with Daniel Kirby of Era for sixth place. Both cleared 13 feet.
