State track: Evant girls’ vaulter gets bronze
Central Texas had three girls competing the Class 1A pole vault, and Evant’s Sarah Vann medaled with a third-place showing.
Van cleared 10 feet even, edging out Thorndale’s Jaynellen Stokes for the bronze medal because Stokes needed two attempts to clear that height.
Itasca’s Megan Goff tied for fifth with Falls City’s Amanda Pruski at 9 feet, 6 inches. Blum’s Stefani McClain had more misses at that height and finished seventh.
