State track: Crawford, Troy discus guys go 4th, 5th
Two Central Texas discus competitors in Class 2A finished just out of the medals at state.
Kody Johnston of Crawford was fourth and Luke Randolph of Troy came in fifth at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.
Johnston threw 150 feet, 6 inches on his first legal throw for his best distance.
Randolph began with a 149-10 toss, then had a couple of 148-footers before fouling on his last three attempts.
Idalou’s Sean Reagan handily won the event, with no foul-free toss of less than 169 feet. He launched his winning 181-7 toss on his final attempt.

If you wouldn't say it to your grandmother, you probably shouldn't say it here.
