Police continue to try to identify man killed on I-35 south of Waco
Authorities continue to try to identify a man who died after he was hit while crossing Interstate 35 south of Waco.
The man was hit at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday while crossing the southbound lanes of I-35 near Troy, aid Sgt. Don Adams, of Texas Department of Public Safety’s Temple office.
He was taken to Scott & White Hospital in Temple, where Bell County Justice of the Peace G.W. Ivy pronounced him dead at 11:45 p.m. that night, Adams said.
The man was black, in his mid 40s, about 6 feet tall, and had short hair and a neatly-trimmed beard, Adams said.
Authorities are attempting to identify the man by his fingerprints.
“Problem is, if he’s never been arrested or held a job that required fingerprints, then we won’t be able to identify him,” Adams said.
Anyone with information can contact the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Temple office at (254) 770-6714.
