1 killed, 1 injured in Robertson County crash
A 40-year-old Bullard man was killed and a 24-year-old Franklin man was injured early today when the vehicle in which they were traveling near Franklin struck a tree after swerving to miss a wild hog, highway officials say.
Scott Ronald Worley was driving a 2008 Ford pickup truck north on Farm-to-Market 46 when, just before 12:30 a.m., he lost control of the vehicle. Worley was pronounced dead at the scene, said a spokesman with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
His passenger, John Demorrow was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan where he is listed in stable condition, the spokesman said.
Both men were laborers. They were wearing their seat belts, the spokesman said.
