Waco ISD honors community members for involvement in education

Waco Independent School District and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce honored community members tonight for their involvement in education.

A new award, the Audre and Bernard Rapoport Champion of Education, was presented to Mayor Virginia DuPuy, who has advocated for children and education with passion and commitment. An outstanding principal was also named, Robin Wilson of Tennyson Middle School.
