Robinson tennis player advances at state tournament
Robinson’s Tucker Mueck won his Class 3A boys quarterfinal match this morning at Lakeway World of Tennis in Austin, Trib sports writer Jason Orts reports.
Mueck, a senior, downed Levi Cockrill from Sweetwater 6-1, 6-2.
He advances to face Price Smith of Lucas Lovejoy for a semifinal match around 2:30 p.m. today.
I had never heard of that school. Here’s information from the school’s Web site:
The Lovejoy Independent School District is located on Country Club RD, three miles east of Allen and about 25 miles north of Dallas in the fast developing region of central Collin County. The district covers the area of approximately 19 square miles, bound by Plano ISD on the south, Allen ISD on the west, and McKinney ISD on the north. Lovejoy ISD is currently responsible for the education for over 2,000 students. Since 1917 Lovejoy has served the residents of Fairview, Lucas, and other surrounding neighborhoods.
