How about this top 10 list? Texas’ deadbeat parents

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott released the top 10 list Monday of the state’s 2009 top 10 deadbeat parents and there’s a connection for me, sort of.

The state issued warrants for the arrests of those deadbeat parents, who owe more than $521,000 in back payments and interest. The top offender is a man who owes $133,866 for support of his two children in Fayetteville, my little hometown east of Austin between La Grange and Brenham.

I don’t know Jimmie McCullough, 49, the No. 1 deadbeat parent on the list. Neither does my mom, whom I called because, well, I was curious.

He sometimes uses the alias of “Randy McCullough,” and was last known to be in Texarkana, according to the state.

Two women also made the top 10 list.

Child Support~What a Joke! My exes owe me $75,000 and $73,000 respectively, but I have only seen about $450.00 TOTAL in the almost 22 years I raised the two boys. Even though one son is deceased, I still want his child support……but like the murderer of my oldest son, Joshua, he will have to pay for his sins to God!

There are probably plenty who qualify for this designation right here in McLennan County. You see, the mcLennan County SO does nothing to serve outstanding Child Support warrants. They just want to wait until they get stopped on a traffic violation or worse.

I have a couple of months to wait until my ex fits all of the qualifications for being put on that list and I will insist that the AG consider him as an absconder, unable to be located. I wonder how that will work out?

And I doubt I am the only parent caught in that little local quagmire.

I believe every deadbeat parent needs to pay child support. Noticed I said deadbeat parent. Saying deadbeat dad is out of context I think. The reason their are just as many women who are deadbeats than men. Honest hard working men do whats right and pay their support. Then the women take that hard working money from the dad and spend it on some deadbeat low life who wants a free ride from the support of a child. I think the system needs to be on a reciept system so the parent has to show what is acually being spent for the support of the child.

My ex thinks that the $ he is supposed to pay goes to me, he is a complete idiot, every parent that raises children knows that it cost alot to raise children these days, especially if you are a good parent and want your children to have good healthcare and dental insurance. If they are in activities then there is $ for that, the list goes on. If you have ever tried to work with the AG’s office in Waco, good luck because they are clueless as well, they might as well be on the side of the deadbeat parent and if you try to contact the local number you get San Antonio and they are clueless. Good luck to all parents that are trying to raise their children and get child support out of losers.
