Tarleton State in Stephenville monitors flu situation
Tarleton State University’s crisis management team continues to monitor the H1N1 virus outbreak to ensure students’ health and safety on campus. All campuses are operating as normal and the University doesn’t have any confirmed cases of the virus, which is commonly referred to as the swine flu.
Tarleton is coordinating its monitoring efforts with city, county and state officials. There also are no confirmed cases of H1N1 in Erath County.
The crisis management team is attending daily teleconference meetings with Gov. Rick Perry’s emergency management team. It is estimated that between 2,500 and 2,700 health, government and education officials from around the state are participating in these meetings, which are designed to coordinate containment efforts as well as to brief key personnel with the most up-to-date information.

Before you comment, please take a few moments to make sure that what you're saying is civil and respectful. We don't tolerate personal attacks, insults, name-calling, impersonations or generally hateful comments — they don't make for a pleasant (or productive) conversation. We want to raise the level of debate and encourage a wide diversity of viewpoints — and that means disagreeing without being disagreeable. If you wouldn't say it to your grandmother, you probably shouldn't say it here.
