Bosque County woman dies in house fire
A woman in her 60s who used a wheelchair was found dead just after 7 a.m. today inside her Meridian home that had been destroyed by fire.
Volunteer firefighters from Cranfills Gap and Meridian found Karen Stovall near the back door of her two-story farm house on Stovall Ranch Road off of State Highway 22, east of Cranfills Gap, said Cranfills Gap volunteer fire chief David Witte.
Stovall’s husband, a truck driver, was not at home at the time.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
