‘America’s Most Wanted’ pair nabbed in Falls County

Two individuals who claimed to have been featured recently on “America’s Most Wanted” were arrested in Falls County Thursday after a car and foot chase with Lott police.

Nulan Lee Folis Jr., 37, of Brownsboro, was arrested and charged with evading arrest and giving false identification. Jennifer Denise Walker, 26, of Athens, was charged with interfering with a police investigation and evading arrest.

Lott police officer Jeremiah Shults said he received a call around 10:30 a.m. Thursday about suspicious activity in a car at the Cefco gas station at State Highways 77 and 320. He said Folis and Walker walked out of the station, spotted his patrol car, and took off in their vehicle on State Highway 77 at a high speed.

Shults said he followed the car for about two city blocks when Folis pulled off the highway and jumped out the vehicle, running into the woods. A foot chase ensued for more than five minutes, with Folis throwing a large branch at Shults, until Folis was detained and arrested.

When Shults took Folis to the patrol car, he discovered that Walker had taken off in the couple’s vehicle. Shults said when Walker repeatedly called Folis’ cell phone, he answered and said he did not yet have Folis in custody.

“She did what I thought she’d do and went back into the woods to look for him,” Shults said.

Walker was detained without chase, he said.

Shults discovered that the two had a large amount of stolen jewelry and were wearing personal clothes stolen from a sheriff’s deputy in Henderson County. The pair revealed that they had been featured on “America’s Most Wanted” last week. Shults said he has not been able to independently verify that they appeared on the show.

They do not show up on the fugitives list on the show’s Web site.

Folis and Walker each have additional felony warrants for burglary of a habitation and evading arrest and detention, mostly in Henderson County. Folis also has a warrant for possession of marijuana and a parole violation.

No bail has been set for the duo.

And that is exactly what they should get “NO BAIL”.
