Power outages, hail and high winds
Power is out in parts of Waco, including near downtown and at the Tribune-Herald.
We also have reports of strong winds, rain and hail around Central Texas. We have hail reports in from the Highway 84 corridor and West Waco. There is also a report of a possible tornado around Aquilla and Abbott.
We’ll post updates as soon as possible. Let us know what you’re seeing out there.

Before you comment, please take a few moments to make sure that what you're saying is civil and respectful. We don't tolerate personal attacks, insults, name-calling, impersonations or generally hateful comments — they don't make for a pleasant (or productive) conversation. We want to raise the level of debate and encourage a wide diversity of viewpoints — and that means disagreeing without being disagreeable. If you wouldn't say it to your grandmother, you probably shouldn't say it here.

I live downtown and saw 4 or 5 transformers blow. We got some small diameter hail, but mostly wind damage to our property.

Things seemed quiet around Speegleville… must have been on the outskirts of it all… and anybody should know not to wear a toupee in 88 mph wind…
