Come Monday, it’ll be all right
That refrain to one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs, pretty well sums up this morning. I imagine most of us are back at work or school after the holiday break (I sure know I enjoyed my time away last week).
But it’s a dreary Monday with cold, wet rain, though thankfully it’s not freezing around the Waco area. Farther to our north and west, that’s not the case, although it’s not expected to linger long with temperatures to warm above freezing soon for those spots.
Staff writer Erin Quinn checked with local law enforcement and emergency personnal this morning and it sounds like all drivers are doing well with the weather. Let’s hope that continues.
Today, it’s a rain day with a high only near 39 degrees. The National Weather Service forecast calls for our chance of precipitation at 100 percent … through tonight.
To perhaps put you in a better mood, here’s that Buffett song, “Come Monday.”
