Authorities investigating deadly house fire
Officials continue to investigate a house fire that killed a Hill County man.
The fire broke out around 10 p.m. Saturday in a house in the 200 block of College Street in Penelope, a Hill County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said.
The spokesman said fire crews from Penelope, West, Bynum and Mt. Calm worked to put out the blaze. Later, rescue workers found the body of a man inside the burned structure.
Authorities did not release the dead man’s name today because the fire is still under investigation, the spokesman said.
