Tropical Storm Hanna makes landfall
STORM INFO
Hanna has made landfall as a strong tropical storm, with winds around 70 mph, just at the border between North and South Carolina. It’s expected to continue on up the East Coast over the next couple of days.
Hurricane Ike, meanwhile, is barreling down on the Turks and Caicos Islands, where it’s expected to hit tonight, and possibly aiming at Florida after that. Tourists have already been ordered to leave the Florida Keys starting this morning, and further evacuations will likely be ordered later.
