$30 million Lotto ticket sold in Waco
Business at the Waco store that sold Wednesday night’s $30 million winning Lotto ticket has been brisk this morning, said a clerk at the EZ Stop.
Other lottery players are apparently hoping the store can bring them luck, too, said the clerk, who said he could not give out his name. EZ Stop is at 3730 N. 19th St.
The clerk said no one there knows who the winning ticket was sold to. No one has called the store about it, he said.
Bobby Heith, director of media relations for the Texas Lottery Commisson, said no one has claimed the winning ticket yet. Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim prizes, he said.
This is not the first time the store has sold tickets that have won big, the clerk said. A couple of years ago it sold a ticket worth $1 million and a few months ago another ticket sold there was good for $70,000, he said.
“We’ve been blessed,” the clerk said.
The winning numbers were 5-8-15-25-40-53.

It might be some illegal person who is afraid they’ll be deported if they try to claim their money! I think you should have to be a US citizen to play the lotto!!!! Don’t we give enough of our American money away to them for nothing? Anyone agree???

Excuse me, but ME if you know anything about the lottery they will take 1/2 of winnings if you decide to get cash option. Don’t forget the taxes so your looking at maybe getting $ 10-12 million. Well citizen or non citizen Congratulations to you and hope you use your money wisely. P.S. I’m sure the store clerks have nothing else to do but ask the buyer for his birth certificate or resident alien card to prove they have a right to be here and then buy a ticket. I guess you have never worked in a convenience store. Get a grip!!!! Its morons like you that keep stirring shXX up to try and prove your own worthless point!!! How would you feel if the clerk asked you for your papers? You would cuss them out and sue the store!!!!

“ME” you are such a iggnorant person. First of all most of the illegal here arent taking our money for nothing. They work their a* off to get the things they have, they sacrifice many things to be here. Who do you think makes the houses you live in, streets you drive on, ect… Many white or black people arent going to work as hard because they now they have government support such as food stamps, WIC, housing, medicaid, ect.. Ilegals don’t get that help most of the time so they are willing to work hard to live here in the US. Without imigrants doing all the hard labor the US wouldnt be shi. How can anyone turn this into an immigrant bash??? For every bad immigrant there is at least a 100 good ones. I have been richly blessed by my immigrant friends I think if you want to kick out immigrants, put the boot in your own backside. Don’t be stupid there are very few true natives and this story had nothing to do with immigration. I know this store from my neighborhood. The person is most likely like me, low income,had a few hard knocks in life, got a few kids, and just trying to survive. I’m glad that someone is going to have the chance of a better life. Congrats to them and God Bless them!!

I don’t understand how a country that is supposed to be perceived as being so strong could be so weak. I feel we have become more concerned with taking care of the rest of the world that it does not matter what happens to the rest of our homeland. We as Americans are being forced to bend our language, beliefs, and freedoms in “our” own land. Since when do people get praised for breaking the law? Why should we, American citizens, have to pick up the tab for everyone else? I have always been raised if you want something you have to work hard and earn it. That is why stealing is illegal and people go to jail for it everyday, but yet we are here supporting illegals for doing it everyday. They steal jobs, healthcare, welfare, etc. and we are supposed to feel sorry for them! What are we teaching our children? We as a country wonder how they keep coming over here, but when it is made so easy for them I would wonder, why wouldn’t they? We are opening Spanish grocery stores, changing our TV. stations to Spanish speaking shows, press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish, the DMV is in English and Spanish, the paperwork for welfare is in English and Spanish…WHY!!! Do we care so little for our country and the future of our children to let this happen?

Congratulations to the lucky winner, whether you are an illegal or not. I have always wondered where some people get the ridiculous idea that illegals are here to steal jobs and money. First of all, in order to receive government support, such as food stamps and medicaid, one must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Therefore, if an illegal does receive such aid, then the problem is now of some U.S. citizen breaking the law to help him or her. Second of all, today’s issue of the WacoTrib features well over 100 job listings. Therefore, the problem is not an illegal stealing a job, but a lazy U.S. citizen complaining about not being able to KEEP a job. Third of all, I wish people would stop being politically correct by saying “illegal” when they really mean “Mexican.” It only makes you sound ignorant when you keep making such references. I AM A PROUD CITIZEN OF THE U.S., but it makes me mad that something simple such as a lotto winning had to turn into this.

I am white and im 100% down for any mexican as long as they respectful and down 4 wat they doin!! it dont matter how we talk (THIS IS A DAMN COMPUTER!!) who actually types correctly all the damn time!! Just cuz someone won the lottery dont mean everyone gotta start hatin!! Im down for 254Mexican they kno wat they talkin!!!
