Olympic opening uses girl’s voice, not face

cutegirl.jpg

A hot topic in China’s blogosphere these days is over the news that the girl who opened the Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing lip-synched “Ode to the Motherland” because she was cuter than the child who actually sang it.

Chinese residents are debating whether that was ethical.

At right is the cutey-pie chosen to be the “face” of the opening ceremony. We don’t have an image of the “voice,” in case you were hoping to compare cuteness.

Check out the story here.

Remember, we’ve got Olympic coverage online.
