Pastor’s wife’s trial update: Attorney calls lawsuit ‘extortion’

A lawsuit in Houston in which a flight attendant accuses the wife of renowned evangelical pastor Joel Osteen of assault is simply a money grab, her defense attorney said today.

“This is nothing more than an attempted extortion,” Rusty Hardin, Victoria Osteen’s attorney, told jurors during opening statements in the civil trial in which he said his client did nothing wrong.

If you work hard and save your money…there would be no need to to steal it from others..by force…so leave the Osteens alone!!!

It’s not really surprising that Ms. Osteen, like many other Christians, are under the mistaken impression that they are somehow better than everyone else. Why didn’t she wipe up the spill herself? Oh, that would have been too much like RIGHT. The Osteens certainly are shepards…leading their mindless gullible flocks to the slaughter.

WWJD —- Sounds like someone needs to take anger management or perhaps walk in the Spirit & not the flesh.

if God exists, he will punish her for her bad behavior. If she does not get punished it seems to me that God tolerates bad behavior or, which is more likely, there is no such thing as God

I have only one thing to say since I had been a flight attendant myself for 10 years. I would have definitely wiped up a spill for a passenger and in 1st class I would have made sure it was done properly. I think this idiot flight attendant is showing how many times the airline has overlooked who they were hiring for the job. You are a disgrace MS Brown!!!!!

Because God does not behave according to Siegurds’ way of thinking, God does not exist…..using this same “logic”, I could conclude that gravity does not exist because it does not behave according to my way of thinking - What an irrational skeptic I would be to carry on with such a philosophy as the following:

“Though I see the effects of gravity all around me, I still choose to believe it does not exist because it behaves other than the way I want it to behave.”

If I paid for a first class ticket I would want you to clean up the spill as well. The rest of this stuff sounds like Ms. Brown needs a mental ward. Good thing the flight did have an issue in the air if this type of thing can make he need millions of dollars, Prep. H, etc. what would have that done? How did she get to me of her position anyhow?

What we need to remember ,is we all are human and sin, rather Victoria did it or not , or the Brown lady lost her balance is not the issue. Pastor Joel and Victoria Osteen are only human , there is no one that is perfect . We all make mistakes and need to ask for forgivness each and every day . So , cut them some slack. God , forgives all . And if the devil wasn’t attacking the Osteens I’d worry about what type of christens they were . God will see them thru .

To Siegurd….. When your time comes to die, please remember not to say Oh God!
However I believe you will!!!! As far as the Osteen’s…..they work hard everyday! I bet If I talked to 50,000 people a week in person I could get something done also… as Joel Osteen said it is up to the individual how much can be accomplished…. This just proves they ARE christians….if not the DEVIL would not be trying to get them…he would have them..Think about it!

I’m seeing a lot of that ‘elitist mentality’ here that I despise so much in Waco. Really people, get over yourselves, I don’t care if you paid for a 1st class ticket or not, clean up after yourself!!!!! And what(perish the thought!) if the Osteens ARE the devil?!?! Beware false prophets ye dumb and blind flock!

We have flown in hundreds of airlines over the last 30 years and are very familiar with how flight attendants work and behave onboard. I wasn’t there but it seems to me that this flight attendant (plaintiff) has a chip on her shoulder and someone told her how she could make lots of money by suing the Osteens. Hemrroids do not develop overnight and all flight attendants undergo a high level of stress while dealing with passengers. All passengers, esp. 1st Class passengers should not be asked or directed to clean up their own sitting areas. That’s what flight attendants or other airline employees are paid to do - to make passengers comfortable. We always try to fly Continental but we are now going to rethink this. I also question this lawsuit.

First, If I pay to be in first class, i want better treatment than others, THATS WHY I PAYED MORE!

Second, we cant be quick to judge victoria, we dont know if she was going through something.

Third, she apologised ” if she disrespected ” the attendant

fouth, she cleaned up the mess herself.

fifth, she payed a fine unjustly, but payed.

sixth, 10% is enough to retire, it is clearly *”extortion” *

First, it’s an attempt extortion. Ms. Brown and her attorney should be punish for such attempt.

Second, if Continental continues to employ Ms. Brown, they have just lost their loyal customer, and I WILL make sure to influence everyone NOT to flight their airline ever again. I don’t want to have to hire a lawyer to defend myself if I happen to walk-by their flight attends like Ms. Brown.
