Former WISD teacher arrested in teen’s sexual assault

A former Waco Independent School District teacher has been arrested on sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between educator and student charges stemming from when she worked at the district.

Tara Allison Hodges, 26, of Katy, Texas, surrendered to Waco police charges today, said Waco police spokesman Melvin Roseborough.

Detectives, during an investigation, found that Ms. Hodges had been involved in a sexual relationship with a 14 year-old student while she was employed as a teacher for WISD, Roseborough said.

Whats up with capitilizing every word? Is that what you teach at WISD or are you trying some kind of unknown logic to establish your credibility?

I for one would like to see this so called innocent 14 year old boy, I’d like to bet he’s one of these that at 14 years old is probably 6’ 2” and weighs about 180, he more than likely, from his up-bringing or non-up-bringing, as the case my be probably seduced this naive young teacher into this, now she is the one who is going to pay the price, the police need to take a good look at ALL the circumstances of this case before charging her with a crime which will ruin her career and possibly her life! I’m sure this isn’t the first kind of trouble this boy has been involved in. Wake up and check out all the facts!

I have known Tara Hodges most of my life. We lived in the same town, went to the same schools growing up. I’d like to say that Tara has always been a smart, friendly, and considerate person. She comes from a respectable family in our community. This behavior has never been like Tara, and I’d like to remind your readers that these are Alleged actions. It has been reported that the investigation started after Tara filed a false report of sexual assault (presumably) against the boy. These charges may be nothing more than an immature way of getting revenge. Nothing in Tara’s past shows any indication of past criminal activity. Again, I just ask readers to keep this in mind throughout the investigation.

anonymous has it exactly right. i have known tara and her family her whole life, and they are fine people, with nothing in tara’s behavior that would remotely suggest anything like this would occur.

let’s let the facts come out before passing judgment; i’d guess there is a lot more to this, and when dealing with a juvenile, it is difficult to get both sides of the story out.
