Speaking of bicycles, why doesnt the Waco downtown area or any area in Waco have bike lanes for people that want to ride their bike to work? With gas prices going up, the best way the city can help its citizens is to make it easier to ride your bike to work. As someone who lives by Richland Mall and works in the Downtown area I would ride my bike to work if there was a safe way of crossing Valley Mills, Waco Drive and Franklin Ave. Downtown is not very safe for riding either. Would be a good idea to present to the city council if it has not already.

That boat sailed a long time ago, my friend. Besides, there’s no profit in bike lanes OR sidewalks for land developers, so neither one are likely to happen.
