President, Laura Bush going back to Dallas

Laura Bush announced today that she and her husband will move from their Crawford ranch back to the D/FW area after a 14-year absence, according to this Dallas Morning News story.

In the “who-didn’t-see-that-coming-department,” the DMN’s political blog uses the opportunity to take a potshot at Waco.

Well, looks like good old shrub is finished with the fine folks out in Crawford and can lay down his facade of the good old boy. Back to the elite and socialites in DFW. Poor Crawford.

Yeah…like “Whew” said, can we clean his names off all of our signs now?

I think he should be run out of Central Texas. Who wanted him here anyway?!

Is this the most unnecessary “announcement” ever? Did anyone ever think they were going to live in Crawford full time? Not remotely their style. Did anyone not intuit that they were going to Dallas? Only real question is whether he keeps the ranch as a getaway.

I don’t blame them. Think about it? If you were President? Would you want to live anywhere near Waco? Ugly Waco?

Fred,

Will you move to somplace else if we pay for it? I for one am getting sick and tired of you bashing Waco. If you hate it so much get out and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

REPUBLICAN: BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE CAN BE ON WELFARE!!! I’m so glad I LEFT Waco. At least President Bush has done his best at running the country (if you people that complain about him think you can do better, then maybe YA’LL SHOULD RUN FOR PRESIDENT NEXT ELECTION) THEN you can see how HARD IT IS TO RUN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. So until you RUN THE COUNTRY QUIT YOUR COMPLAINING. Whats gonna happen when the new president whoever that is decides to pull the troops out of the Middle East the terrorists that are over there suicide bombers etc will just invade our homeland and we will problay have another 9/11 at leat by our troops being over there they are keeping the terrorists in their OWN COUNTRY and not hurting the USA. Have ya’ll not noticed another 9/11 HAS NOT happened since the military has been in the Middle East? I mean come on people common sense I guess thats why I call alot of the anti bush people DEMORATS!!!!

Actually RSM, the smart thing to do is if you are NOT capable, DON’T run for president. Most of us know we couldn’t do the job, hence we don’t run. However, Bush knew he wasn’t qualified for that type of position, but money and influence bought him the job.

I hope all the Crawford groupies realize now how used they’ve been by their “neighbor”. He never had any intention of staying here. Ever. I called this when he bought the ranch.

Hey I know what. To satisfy all you liberals we can open up a pervert school at the ranch when Mr. Bush moves out and turn out a bunch of Bill Clinton clones. Then they can baby sit all your children. No? Well then don’t gripe when Christian does what he can to help our country instead of a bunch of communist cronies in China, family members of his wife, business connections, the Democratic National Committee, crooked lawyers….oh heck I could go on for days. President Bush never said he would live here for ever. It was always intended as a temporary home in order to stay in our wonderful Texas. It’s centrally located in the state. It’s close to the TSTC airport and it’s 8,900 foot runways that can accommodate 747’s, C-5 Galaxies, C-141’s and C-17 aircraft, it’s easier to secure than a place in a crowded city which will also result in less collateral damage in case of terrorist attacks. He was considerate of others even in choosing the location of his temporary home. You wouldn’t find even one democrat displaying the same level of concern. You liberals have let party politics cloud your humanity. Sign up for some therapy.
