Mexia bank to open branch at Legends Crossing in Waco

First National Bank of Mexia plans to open a branch in Waco in 2009. Here’s the text of the press release we received:

First National Bank of Mexia today announced that it has purchased property in Waco, TX in the coveted Legends Crossing retail center. The bank currently has three locations in Central Texas—Mexia, Fairfield and Coolidge—and plans to open in Waco in early 2009. More information about the bank’s entry into Waco will be available in the coming months.

“The decision to enter into Waco is supported by the remarkable economic outlook in that area,” says First National Bank of Mexia’s President Greg Stubbs. “We stay committed to serving our valued clients in Mexia, Fairfield and Coolidge, and look forward to serving the Waco community in the future.”

Waco’s Legends Crossing is located at the intersection of I-35 and Loop 340 Highway 6. More than 150 acres of development have been reserved for incoming businesses including Waco Nissan and Hillcrest Health Systems. About First National Bank of Mexia

Waco’s economic development is so bad that an out of town bank (Mexica First National) must come in to fill the void. Waco’s Legends Crossing should be called…..Losers Crossing. Waco Sucks with a capital S. Have you driven through North Waco lately? Seen the crime, poverty and ugliness? Both of Waco’s hospitals (Providence and Hillcrest) have raced out of North Waco to West Hwy.6 to escape trashed-out, crime infested North Waco. Hey Kabat? Can’t you post the news without a boot-licking commerical? You and Sury both kiss entirely too much posterior (especially Baylor’s).
