‘My Girl’ star lands role in pilot
Ironically enough, I actually was just thinking about My Girl actress Anna Chlumsky, wondering what she was up to these days.
She dropped off the map for a few years starting in the late ’90s, but has been involved in several TV shows and movies in recent years.
And she has landed a lead role in the CBS pilot “House Rules,” about a freshman class of Congress, according to Entertainment Weekly. She’ll play an aide to the Speaker of the House.
Speaking of CBS pilots, The Hollywood Reporter says Texas native Kay Panabaker (who will appear in the Fame remake) has been cast as one of the leads on the drama “A Marriage,” which also stars Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek, I, Robot and much more), Miranda Otto (Eowyn in two of the Lord of the Rings movies) and Nick Eversman. The drama is “an anatomy of a marriage that works,” says THR.
