A Waco native who attended Baylor University, Mike joined the Waco Trib in 1978 and began covering business in 1992. He's a four-time winner of the Best of Cox award for business coverage in Cox's community newspaper division.

Downtown Merchants

The new Downtown Merchants Association has chosen its officers.
They are:
Chair: Michael Wray, managing partner for the Waco Town Square project.
Vice chair: Davin Hightower, owner, Green Room Grille.
Secretary: Chris McGowan, Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce.
Treasurer: Ginger Townley, Waco Loft Living.
Chair of Events: Jennifer Wilson, Spice Home Furnishings.
Chair of Marketing: Honey Rader, Honey’s Home Style
Chair of Membership: Jennifer Wright, Residence Inn by Marriott
Chair of Business Development: Shelly Campbell, Waco Hilton
Past Chair: Scott Baker, Waco Performing Arts Company

Any word on the progress of the vacant Dunlaps? How about the empty Taco Bell and Furniture Shack buildings on N. Valley Mills? For such a busy area I would think these properties would be sold by now.
