MCC presents 'Broadway Christmas'

Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas season has begun. One of the best ways I can think of to begin the Central Texas musical offerings is a concert presented by SPOTLIGHT!

SPOTLIGHT! is a musical theatre troupe directed by Dr. Karen Albrecht at McLennan Community College. Every SPOTLIGHT! performance I’ve seen the past decade or so has been filled with musical talent and creativity.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 pm, a free concert will presented at the MCC Ball Performing Arts Center titled "A Broadway Christmas." College students will perform Christmas songs and scenes from a variety of popular Broadway musicals including "White Christmas," "Mame," "She Loves Me" and more.

The one-hour concert is suitable for ages 2-102. Anyone who loves live musical entertainment will love SPOTLIGHT!

After the program, there will be a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus. They will pass out gifts to attendees.
